Your programming is truly superb and though it leans heavily towards the obvious GAY Agenda of NPR's commentators is at least fair and balanced - so WHY run your Internet Site like a FASCIST system?

Arab Illiteracy?

Ok boys and girls let¡¦s learn a bit more about these unusual people called ¡§Arabs¡¨ and their schools and education. Bear in mind:

¡§The biggest Problem the Arabs have is population. Even though fertility rates are declining, the population of the Middle East and North Africa could reach 600 MILLION by 2025; in South Asia, the population of Pakistan alone will reach 200 MILLION. Within the next 15 years, Egypt will grow by 25 perrcent, to 85.2 MILLION people, Jordan¡¦s population will increase by 44%, Syria by 39%, Saudi Arabia by 56% and Palestine by 64%.
Even more alarming is the changing age distribution within these populations. In Iran, Pakistan and the Arab World, 50% or more of the population is under 20 years of age. High concentrations on young people in a society, especially teens, correlates with violence.
Education and literacy have been spreading but at a snail¡¦s pace. Pakistan is worst off, with adult literacy hovering at 40%. Egypt, Morocco, Sudan and Yemen have literacy rates closer to 50%, which is still not enough to propel economic growth, and Algeria, Iraq, Libya, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, and Syria have reached literacy levels between 50 and 66%.
Secondary School Enrollment (High School) is generally increasing but the pace of enrollment is faster for boys than for girls, which means that there will be little net diminution in women¡¦s fertility or unemployment. Sadly, the quality of Education is often poor. Ever country in the region emphasizes rote learning (memorization like your multiplication tables) and does little to foster the areas of critical thinking (like the ¡§Great Books¡¨ club discussions we have on Saturday In the library).
As a consequence, the region is filled with young men who are too well educated for the lowest kinds of manual labor, but lack the skills that would enable them to join the local economy.¡¨

Ok boys and girls let¡¦s learn a bit more about these unusual people called ¡§Arabs¡¨ and their schools and education. Bear in mind:
„h They are just like you and me
„h They are just like your mommy and daddy
„h They are Friends and Children of Jesus just like we all are and He Loves Us All
They are just different, talk funny and ride those horses with big humps on their back. But these odd folks with camels have some strange ideas so let¡¦s find out what some of them are:
¡§The biggest Problem the Arabs have is population. Even though fertility rates are declining, the population of the Middle East and North Africa could reach 600 MILLION by 2025; in South Asia, the population of Pakistan alone will reach 200 MILLION. Within the next 15 years, Egypt will grow by 25 perrcent, to 85.2 MILLION people, Jordan¡¦s population will increase by 44%, Syria by 39%, Saudi Arabia by 56% and Palestine by 64%.
Even more alarming is the changing age distribution within these populations. In Iran, Pakistan and the Arab World, 50% or more of the population is under 20 years of age. High concentrations on young people in a society, especially teens, correlates with violence.
Education and literacy have been spreading but at a snail¡¦s pace. Pakistan is worst off, with adult literacy hovering at 40%. Egypt, Morocco, Sudan and Yemen have literacy rates closer to 50%, which is still not enough to propel economic growth, and Algeria, Iraq, Libya, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, and Syria have reached literacy levels between 50 and 66%.
Secondary School Enrollment (High School) is generally increasing but the pace of enrollment is faster for boys than for girls, which means that there will be little net diminution in women¡¦s fertility or unemployment. Sadly, the quality of Education is often poor. Ever country in the region emphasizes rote learning (memorization like your multiplication tables) and does little to foster the areas of critical thinking (like the ¡§Great Books¡¨ club discussions we have on Saturday In the library).
As a consequence, the region is filled with young men who are too well educated for the lowest kinds of manual labor, but lack the skills that would enable them to join the local economy.¡¨

Arab Literacy?

The following Literacy statistics are taken from an article (¡§Arab Literacy¡¨) appearing in Arab News

¡§Illiteracy in Lebanon is still among the greatest problems, with a rate of 13.6% of the Lebanese resident population at the age of 10 and above.(which means that 85.4% CANNOT READ AT ALL)
On the international level, some 880 million adult illiterates are in the world, two thirds of them women, and 120 million children did not attend schools, according to information said by the secretary general of the UN, Kofi Annan, who addressed a message to the international community on the occasion of the world day on the eradication of illiteracy.
(what this REALLY MEANS is that 1 out of every 5 people In the world CANNOT READ OR WRITE!)
In his message Annan expressed his optimism over the latest estimates of UNESCO which say illiteracy among adults is decreasing continuously from more than one third of the world's population in the year 1970 to only one quarter in 1990, expecting this average to be reduced to one fifth by the beginning of the new millennium.
On this occasion, the UN information office circulated a statement on illiteracy in the Arab states and the role of UNESCO's regional office in Beirut, in which it indicated that the year 2000 is a turning point for evaluating what had been achieved and a new impetus for better achievements in fighting illiteracy. The statement said there are some 6.7 million children in the Arab states who are of school age but are not registered in the schools (2.4 million males and 4.3 million females).
In the same framework, Lebanese Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Michael Mousa on Wednesday held a press conference in which he tackled the analytical study of the results of a data survey carried out by the project to improve living conditions in Lebanon. The results say that 32.8% of the Lebanese families and 33% of individuals, including a huge number of those aged between 10-19 have not minimum rate of education. (but they DID give us Danny Thomas!)
He added that several rural areas and villages in Lebanon are prohibited from opportunities for basic education for both children and adults alike, a matter "which necessities clinging to applying compulsory and free of charge education for the elementary schools." (prohibited by who?)

Literacy Statistics? The above looks more like something out of a ¡§History of Europe in the Middle Ages¡¨!
Now the poor and destitute nations that we all know about such as Somalia and Yemen are no great surprise but it appears that SOMETHING SMELLS HERE no?
Note very carefully the wide discrepancies in the above data:with a ¡§high¡¨ of ¡V

These ¡§Statistics¡¨ present some rather interesting anomalies do they not? to wit:
1.) Saudi Arabia a 1995 estimate put the literacy rate at 62.8% (71.5% among men and 50.2% among women); (they can¡¦t read, but they SURE DO KNOW HOW TO COUNT MONEY!)
HOLD THE PHONE CLYDE! Aren¡¦t these the guys with all that oil, and all the money that comes from selling it? What good does all that money do when 40% of the people and half of the women can¡¦t read and write? Could it be that they NEVER SEE any of that ¡¥oil¡¦ money at all? Could if be that the House of al-Saud has ALL Of the revenues from the ¡§Oil Industry¡¨ Deposited DIRECTLY into their bank accounts? A WHOLE Country would have to be PRETTY DUMB to let a small handful of guys get away with something like THAT, right? See:

Now this is where the Mummies come from boys and girls. Remember when we read about King Tut and the pyramids and all that stuff? This is that land but it looks like something went terribly wrong along the way no?
There is SOMETHING ELSE we ought to take careful note of here also: if you look at the above statistics once more, you will see that the WOMEN seem to get the worst part of education and schooling right?
Well, that is quite correct. These funny people have an EVEN FUNNIER RELIGION and they call it ¡§Fundamental Islam¡¨. In this ¡¥religion¡¦ little girls and ladies are considered NO BETTER THAN ANIMALS and in some of these countries the ANIMALS are treated far better than the women. They have a time honored philosophy of keeping their ladies ¡§Barefoot and pregnant (and unable to read or write)¡¨ so they can keep them as virtual slaves. You will NEVER SEE ANYONE LIKE CHRISTIE MACCALUFE or HILARY CLINTON in these countries.

The above figures are rather benign for when you get over to Afghanistan the literacy rates are as low as 5% in rural areas and about 26% in the cities.(which means that 95% of these miserable mendicants cannot read and write)

Keep in mind that it is ALWAYS a good idea to consult a number of different sources and reach your own INDEPENDENT conclusions.
Looks like a real dismal state of affairs no? Yes it is: in fact when SOME OF THE CAMELS have a better education than Many PEOPLE in these regions it is time to take a look at what is the cause and DO SOMETHING to change it. In this ¡¥religion¡¦ little girls and ladies are considered NO BETTER THAN ANIMALS and in some of these countries the ANIMALS are treated far better than the women. They have a time honored philosophy of keeping their ladies ¡§Barefoot and pregnant (and unable to read or write)¡¨ so they can keep them as virtual slaves. You will NEVER SEE ANYONE LIKE CHRISTIE MACCALUFE or HILARY CLINTON in these countries.

The above figures are rather benign for when you get over to Afghanistan the literacy rates are as low as 5% in rural areas and about 26% in the cities.(which means that 95% of these miserable mendicants cannot read and write)

Pakistan is an improvement with literacy at about 24% and 47% in the cities. (which means that only 76% of the people can¡¦t read and write!)
A final point to consider is that these statistics are suspect scientifically. Much of this data was compiled by the United Nations, which has become a haven for most of the well-connected but unemployable nincompoops and bums in the Third World since these nations have gained a majority say in hiring and finances. Additionally the ¡§Statisticians¡¨ in the Third World are essentially accustomed to counting goats and chickens and have limited experience in educational/literacy/demography issues and statistics so bear these facts in mind. Many of the ¡§Researchers¡¨ in these regions also experience considerable difficulty counting once they run out of fingers and toes so results are often not accurately tabulated.

They also maintain literacy statistics on the world¡¦s nations and you will find some interesting discrepancies with the above ¡§data¡¨ due to our considerably superior reporting and scientific capabilities. We must, however give the UN credit for their efforts however jejune they prove to be. Keep in mind that it is ALWAYS a good idea to consult a number of different sources and reach your own INDEPENDENT conclusions.
Looks like a real dismal state of affairs no? Yes it is: in fact when SOME OF THE CAMELS have a better education than Many PEOPLE in these regions it is time to take a look at what is the cause and DO SOMETHING to change it. But the ¡§Terrorists¡¨ (and Terrorist ¡§Governments¡¨) and ¡§Fundamental Islam¡¨ don¡¦t want to CHANGE A THING: to them, this is quite normal and acceptable and they want it to STAY THIS WAY! They view this as the ¡§Grand Scheme¡¨ or ¡§Allah¡¦s Will¡¨ which is simply a THEOLOGICALLY JUSTIFIED FORMULA FOR GRAND THEFT AND SLAVERY ON A SOCIETAL SCALE!
Folks like bin Laden in fact get VERY UPSET when more than 5% of the people CAN READ AND WRITE AT ALL ¡V he¡¦d rather keep them ALL ILLITERATE AND POWERLESS so he and his goons can CONTINUE TO STEAL ALL OF THEIR MONEY AND NATIONAL RESOURCES and KEEP THEM AS SLAVES.
